Biography
In 2000 the Dutch trio Dennis Christopher, Dimitrie Siliakus, and Mark Simmons assembled the Beatfreakz. Several singles appeared on the Spinnin' label, among them a Hi-NRG rendition of "P.Y.T." that liberally sampled Michael Jackson's original recording. That approach proved fruitful and prompted the follow-up "Somebody's Watching Me," built around heavy sampling of Rockwell's classic track of the same name. The single secured extensive radio airplay across Europe and the UK and was subsequently licensed for multiple dance compilations.
