Biography
Based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the indie rock trio Bel Heir operated for more than five years under the name Find Vienna until they adopted their current moniker in 2013. The lineup features Ian Walsh handling keyboards alongside brothers Paul Mancel on bass and Patrick Mancel on guitar and lead vocals. While refining their approach, the core members collaborated with multiple drummers across live shows and recording sessions, drawing from classic alternative rock sources to shape a polished, guitar-driven style of songwriting. Throughout 2014 they issued two self-released singles each month via online platforms, building an audience through the expanding body of tracks as well as performances alongside acts such as Sir Sly and Magic Man. They later signed with RCA Records, which supported the preparation of Bel Heir’s first full-length effort, Philadelphia English, targeted for release in late 2017.
