Biography
Carnival Kids, a melodic post-hardcore outfit, came together in 2010 through musicians based in Oslo, Norway, and Liverpool, England. Guitarist/vocalist Jethro Fox, vocalist Eric Molumby, bassist/vocalist John Stark, and drummer/vocalist Andreas Westhagen formed the lineup. Their sound drew heavily from hard, angular alternative and hardcore groups such as Rival Schools, Converge, and Botch. The band issued its first releases, the anthemic 2013 singles “Fear of Nothing” and “What to Do When Awake Within a Dream,” on Killing Moon Records. Live appearances with Gallows and Trash Talk preceded a 2014 deal with Warner Music. The group journeyed to Colorado to work with veteran punk producer Bill Stevenson, after which the debut full-length While the World Keeps Ending appeared in 2015.
