Emerging onto the Spanish rock landscape during the initial years of the new millennium, DeSpistaos built their following by serving as openers for prominent acts in the circuit and putting out independent releases. Their rising profile attracted the attention of the international label Warner Music, which helped elevate their sound and visibility substantially. The lineup consists of bassist Isma, guitarists More and Krespo, frontman Dani, and drummer Iñigo. The band's self-titled debut album from 2003 marked their formal introduction to audiences. Organic buzz from listeners enabled more than one hundred live shows throughout that year, establishing them as promising newcomers. They shared stages with veteran outfits including Fito y los Fitipaldis and Barricada, among others. DeSpistaos followed up with their second full-length, Y a Ti Qué Te Importa?, in 2004. Tracks such as "Ruido," "A la Luz de Tus Piernas," and "Estoy Aquí" drove the record's success, leading to widespread recognition and a subsequent reissue the next year that incorporated DVD material. Warner Music extended an offer for the group's third effort, Lejos. Their next Warner release, Vivir al Revés, arrived in 2007. The single "Cada Dos Minutos" received frequent airplay across Spanish broadcast outlets. That album achieved a solid ranking within the national Top 40.
