Samuel Ibarra Aispuro records corridos tumbados under the performing name El Padrinito Toys as a Mexican-American vocalist and composer. Mesa, Arizona, is listed as his birthplace, though his family settled in Culiacán, Sinaloa, during 2020 once he turned thirteen. He then aligned himself with Los Toys, the content outfit directed by Marcos Eduardo Castro Cárdenas, widely recognized as Markitos Toys, and cultivated an audience on social platforms through the El Padrinito Toys handle. The worldwide rise of corridos tumbados led him to abandon video work in 2022 so he could concentrate exclusively on songwriting and recording. Across the following two years he contributed to over thirty singles issued by other Regional Mexican acts, accumulating millions of streams on tracks such as “Los Collares” by Óscar Maydon, “KLK” by Víctor Mendivil, Kevin AMF, and Víctor Rivera, “El Chamán” by Aldo Trujillo and Legion RG, and “Belicontento” by Octavio Cuadras. August 2024 brought the arrival of “Tal Vez Fui Yo,” the first release issued solely under the El Padrinito Toys name. Earlier in that same year Aispuro appeared in news coverage after unidentified individuals fired on a car carrying him and his father.
