Biography
Eric Durrance, a singer and songwriter born in Tallahassee, developed a solid foundation in country music influenced by his stepfather’s performances on guitar, piano, and drums, along with harmony lessons from his mother and grandfather, and exposure to George Jones through his grandparents. Over time, he found himself drawn toward the Eagles’ blend of country and pop as well as the compositional approaches of Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson. Although recognized as a capable vocalist, Durrance places primary emphasis on his songwriting within his musical output. In collaboration with producers Teddy Gentry and Mark Bright, he issued the EP I Lost It All and the album Angels Fly Away via the independent Wind-Up Nashville imprint during 2008.
