Biography

Fee performs in a praise-and-worship vein of high-energy anthemic rock whose sound and posture draw clear inspiration from U2 as well as from more recent bands such as Kings of Leon. Operating from Atlanta, Georgia, under the leadership of songwriter Steve Fee, the ensemble cultivated a sizable audience through regular appearances at Christian worship venues and conferences. Initially presented under the billing Steve Fee, the lineup—completed by Heath Balltzglier, Matt Adkins, and Brandon Coker—eventually streamlined its name to Fee. The 2007 releases We Shine and Burn for You preceded the arrival of Hope Rising in 2009.
