Biography
George Kwali, the Brighton-based DJ and producer, entered the U.K. house scene in 2015 via his track "Your Love," included on the 14th edition of the Fat! compilation E.P. Early in 2016 his debut proper release surfaced on House of Hustle, where he collaborated with vocalist Amber Van Day for the single "Act No Good." As DJ support grew for his tribal- and dancehall-influenced house productions, Kwali joined forces with fellow Brighton producer Kideko on the track "Crank It." Following substantial airplay and club exposure from figures such as Annie Mac and Pete Tong, Ministry of Sound acquired the single. Issued with supplementary vocals by Nadia Rose and Sweet Irie, "Crank It (Woah!)" dominated Ibiza’s summer clubs and further afield, also landing on the U.K. Top 40 singles and dance charts.
