Huntar

HUNTAR serves as the stage name for a British musician intent on preserving anonymity, one whose sound merges percussive electro-pop textures with smooth, yearning vocals. Early 2014 brought the debut single “Expectations,” which placed his soulful delivery over layered vocal samples. Good Soldier issued the first EP, Bitter, that December. Following favorable attention from BBC Radio 1 in England and KCRW in the U.S., additional 2015 singles arrived in the form of “Skin” and “The Hunger.” The London native turned to consistent live work in late 2015 and completed dozens of shows across England the next year. Also in 2016 came the tracks “Anyway” and “4AM,” the latter of which placed him on Billboard’s emerging artists chart. Glassnote Records, home to Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, and Chvrches, reissued the five-track debut that same year as BITTAR, substituting “Hold On” for one of the original cuts. HUNTAR launched 2017 with the anthemic Glassnote single “Echo,” then issued “Beautiful” in February 2018 ahead of his first full-length album.
