Biography
Sacramento-based hard rock outfit Jamies Elsewhere draw from the intense, emo-inflected gloom of acts such as Sparta, Taking Back Sunday, and Chiodos, even as they stay true to melodic punk rock roots. The ensemble came together in 2005, built around vocalist Chris Patterson, keyboardist/vocalist Mike Spearman, drummer Anthony Scarpelli, bass player Nick Rodriguez, and guitarists Matt Scarpelli and Anthony Carioscia. It secured a deal with Victory Records in 2007 thanks to a self-released EP along with nonstop touring and a strong D.I.Y. approach. Its first full-length effort, Guidebook for Sinners Turned Saints, arrived in May 2008.
