Originating in Argentina as a Latin rock outfit, Juana La Loca assembled toward the close of the 1980s and made their recorded entrance via the independent album Autoejecución. A contract with BMG paved the way for Electronauta in 1993, which Daniel Melero produced. Nationwide touring followed to support the release, with the band sharing stages alongside Los Brujos and securing an April 1994 slot opening for Depeche Mode. Revolución appeared the next year, after which the group relocated to the U.S. to cut Vida Modelo, issued in 1997. In April 1998 Juana La Loca again served as support, this time for Oasis during the British band’s South American itinerary.
