Biography
El Otro Yo, an Argentinean foursome devoted to alternative pop and rock, entered the local circuit at the start of the 1990s. Their first recording appeared as the demo cassette Los Hijos de Alien and was quickly followed by Traka-Traka. Drummer Omar Kischinovsky departed in 1995, with Raymundo Fajardo taking his place; that same year the band issued Mundo and contributed a track to a tribute album honoring Sumo by performing its signature song. The following year Los Hijos de Alien received a compact-disc mastering that added the previously unreleased “Lo De Adentro,” a piece written in memory of Kurt Cobain. After the release of Esencia in 1997 and Abrecaminos in 1999, keyboardist Ezequiel Araujo became a member. The group soon established its own imprint, Besotico Records, and used it to put out Contagiandose la Energía de Otro in 2000.
