Biography
Kaleb Austin crafts a robust style of contemporary country music that fuses Eric Church’s powerful presence with Jason Aldean’s thoughtful intensity, a sound showcased on his viral 2021 single “Sound of the South.”
Born in Draper, Utah, Kaleb Austin picked up the guitar at age 14 and began writing songs before finishing high school. His debut EP, Empty Bed of Roses, arrived independently in 2014. Over the next two years he focused his live shows on the West Coast. Austin later traveled to Nashville to gather songs for a full-length project, yet family needs pulled him back to Utah. Not long after his return he composed “Sound of the South,” which spread rapidly online early in 2021. The follow-up track “Sun Goes Down” appeared that May.
