Biography
Hailing from California, Kendall Payne developed an early affinity for show tunes alongside frequent visits to open mic nights in neighborhood venues. The performances by female artists she witnessed motivated her to begin composing and performing original material once she reached the age of 15. An encounter following a particular gig led to a meeting with producer Ron Ainello, who in turn facilitated introductions to various record label executives. Additionally, she took the stage at the 1998 Lilith Festival and issued her first full-length release, Jordan's Sister, during 1999 via Capitol Records.
