Biography
Born and raised in Chesapeake, VA, CCM singer-songwriter Jill Phillips learned piano, guitar, flute, and piccolo as a teenager. She wrote her first original song during her freshman year of high school. After earning her degree from Nashville's Belmont University in the spring of 1998, she promptly signed with the Word label and released her self-titled debut album the following summer.
