Biography
The sweet vocals of Christian vocal prodigy Rachael Lampa made their debut on the Word Records album Live for You, which arrived in stores on August 1, 2000. A duet titled "There Is Still a Dream" paired her with Aaron Neville, and the project was co-produced by Brent Bourgeois alongside Brown Bannister, the latter having first encountered Lampa at a Colorado music conference when she was only 14. The following year brought the release of her debut album, timed with the start of the teenager’s high-school years. More of her own songwriting appeared on the 2002 follow-up Kaleidoscope. In 2003 she headed back into the studio and issued the remix collection Blur, which reworked tracks from Live for You and Kaleidoscope with added dance, hip-hop, and pop touches.
