Kerrie Roberts, a singer, songwriter, and pianist specializing in faith pop who hails from Florida, blends themes of everyday life with elements of praise and worship, achieving at peak moments a seamless fusion that yields uplifting, memorable melodies capable of standing independently. She entered the world on January 1, 1985, in Miami, Florida, as the child of a pastor and a choir director, beginning her vocal performances in her mother's choir at the age of five while perched atop a milk crate for visibility. Immersed in the sounds of her family's church, she acquired piano skills and, leveraging her powerful and assured vocal delivery, took charge of her own worship sessions. During her high school years, she started composing original material, one of which she showcased at her graduation ceremony, prior to enrolling at the University of Miami to obtain a degree in studio music and jazz vocal performance. Committed to a full-time musical path, she honed her compositions, took on local gigs for exposure, and sustained herself through roles as an elementary school teacher and an accountant, additionally serving as a backing vocalist on tour with Engelbert Humperdinck. Her first independent release came in 2005 with the track “It Is Well with Me.” Relocating to New York in 2008, she accepted an office position to fund her evening pursuits in music as she anticipated the ideal opportunity. That break arrived via Provident Music/Reunion Records, which issued her meticulously produced debut album, the self-titled Kerrie Roberts, during the summer of 2010.
