Biography
Kopek, a Dublin-based aggressive hard rock trio, came together in 2002 and launched into live performances before the year ended. Neighbors during their upbringing in Ireland, drummer Shane Cooney and bassist Brad Kinsella first linked with vocalist Daniel Jordan after he replied to their advertisement placed in a musician’s magazine. Once the trio stood complete, they entered multiple local battle of the bands events, regularly securing first place and collecting the resulting prizes. Those prizes furnished new equipment, studio hours, and tour support, resources that kept Kopek traveling for most of the following decade. In 2009 the group secured a multi-album contract with Religion, the Dublin record company. Their opening release on the label, White Collar Lies, appeared twelve months afterward.
