Biography

Krista, a singer and songwriter shaped by an eclectic array of influences ranging from Queen Latifah to Evanescence and Sarah McLachlan, grew up in Brooklyn under the care of her father and grandmother once her parents parted ways at her age of four. During her teenage years she turned to journaling and verse as an outlet, ultimately leaving high school at sixteen in order to chase a career in music. At nineteen she encountered producer Camus following a Suicide City performance; he soon took on the role of mentor and helped sculpt her musical direction. Their collaboration culminated in a recording contract with Clive Davis, the issuance of her first album, and a slot at Lollapalooza, all occurring in 2008.
