Love Mansuy, a Canadian-born singer and songwriter rooted in R&B, reveals a deeply exposed emotional core through his work, which weaves in melodic echoes of indie pop and emo.

Montréal is where he first entered the world, though his grandparents raised him in Irvington, New Jersey, once his mother passed away at the age of four. To steer him clear of difficulties, they arranged piano instruction; he performed regularly in church settings alongside the choir yet constantly veered into his own improvised melodies and spontaneous lyrics. Music wove itself into his daily existence, prompting a later relocation to Los Angeles aimed at establishing himself as a songwriter—until a mentor steered him toward delivering the material himself. After entering a relationship that led to pregnancy, the couple lost their housing and endured seven months residing in a vehicle. With the arrival of his son, he juggled two jobs to cover expenses, only to have his car seized just before crossing paths with Teddy Riley, whose intervention secured a deal with Warner Records.

His first extended play, Of Age, surfaced in 2019 as an unfiltered and intimate statement built primarily on electronic textures and centered on the realities of becoming a father. The subsequent release, (món-swee), arrived in 2020 split into separate Side A and Side B sections, merging conventional instruments with references to his atypical touchstones such as Coldplay, Adele, and Paramore.
