Establishing both the Yacht Club Social Network and its affiliated YCSN Apparel imprint, Detroit rapper M-City J.R. began his recording career by issuing a run of virus-themed singles rather than conventional viral releases. After more than a decade invested in multiple unfinished projects, he issued the popular “H1N1” track in 2014 and followed it with the early-2015 arrival of his “Salmonella” single. Joining forces with MCs Geechee and CEOWaun, he assembled the Yacht Club Social Network and unveiled their “Sanctuary” cut that same year. His standalone “Addicted to My Ex” became a hit that maintained radio rotation deep into the summer of 2016.
