Make Do and Mend originated in Hartford, Connecticut, during 2006, though the group now operates from a base in Boston, Massachusetts. The moody post-hardcore quartet—singer/guitarist James Carroll, guitarist Mike O'Toole, bassist Mike Poulin, and drummer Matt Carroll—fuses gruff aggression with melody in equal measure, resulting in a driving and catchy sonic concoction. Their first recording arrived via the We're All Just Living EP in 2007. That release secured a contract with Panic Records, which issued the Bodies of Water EP in 2009 and the band's debut full-length, End Measured Mile, in 2010. In 2012 bassist Poulin exited to devote himself to Defeater, and Luke Schwartz took his place. Later the same year Make Do and Mend moved to Rise and entered the studio with Matt Bayles to track their sophomore album, Everything You Ever Loved, which surfaced in the summer of 2012.
