Transit

Boston, Massachusetts provided the setting for Transit's formation, with Joe Boynton taking the vocal role, Daniel Frazier behind the drums, P.J. Jefferson on bass, and guitar duties split between Joseph Lacy and Tim Landers. The quintet began as an emo outfit and cut the Let It Out EP in 2007 before issuing its first full-length album, This Will Not Define Us, the following year on Barrett Records. A move to Run for Cover brought two further projects: the Stay Home EP in 2009 and Keep This to Yourself in 2010. Joseph Lacy departed in 2011, Torre Cioffi stepping in on guitar as the band began shifting its approach toward the prevailing indie pop style. Something Left Behind appeared that same year, after which the group signed with Rise Records and delivered Listen & Forgive in 2011 plus Young New England in 2013.
