Nia Archives fuses jungle rhythms with neo-soul textures under the self-coined banner "future classic." Based in London, the producer, vocalist, songwriter, and filmmaker launched her recording career via the 2021 EP Headz Gone West before issuing Forbidden Feelingz the following year. Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against tha Wall arrived as her third EP in 2023 and served as her introduction on a major label, paving the way for the full-length debut Silence Is Loud, which surfaced in April 2024.

Soundsystem traditions run deep in her lineage, given that half her relatives hail from Jamaica. During childhood she absorbed reggae, hip-hop, disco, and jungle—though the latter’s identity remained unknown to her at the time—while family members near Leeds instructed her in music production. At age 16 she shifted to Manchester and embraced rave culture, initially crafting hip-hop instrumentals before merging jungle and neo-soul approaches in 2019. Once settled in London she began shooting footage of urban scenes and crafting clips modeled on 1990s rave aesthetics. The samba-tinged “Sober Feels” marked her first single in 2020, followed by the self-released Headz Gone West on her HIJINXX label in 2021. She also joined jungle originator Congo Natty for a rework of Lava La Rue’s “Magpie.”

Forbidden Feelingz, her second EP, surfaced in 2022 alongside remixes she supplied for PinkPantheress and Danny L. Harle; that same year she guested on cuts by Mall Grab, Watch the Ride, and Clipz. The celebratory “Baianá” emerged during this period and later led off Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against tha Wall, her Island Records debut, which ascended to the top of the U.K. dance chart. Island then presented her 13-track first album Silence Is Loud in April 2024. Crafted in tandem with songwriter and producer Ethan P. Flynn, the record centers on love, loneliness, relationships, and the intense power of silence.
