Northern Faces

Formed their official roster during 2012, the Albany, New York indie rock outfit Northern Faces draws from traditional rock styles originating in Britain and America. Bryan Shortell and Marco Testa handle vocals and guitars, Matt Ippolito plays bass, while Mike Ryan takes care of drums; the group issued their initial EP titled Southern Places during 2013. Produced by Casey Bates, known for work with Portugal. The Man and Emarosa, the band's debut album Northern Faces came out in 2015 via Equal Vision Records, at which point Mark McKenna had already taken over drumming duties from Ryan. By spring 2017, now operating as the three-piece Shortell, Testa, and Ippolito, they issued the glistening track "Messin' with Me" ahead of their second full-length record.
