Biography
Blending Latin pop with contemporary flamenco, Papá Levante made their entrance through the album Tomalacaté, which spotlighted the hit singles "Me Pongo Colorada" and "Practicar Sexo." Producer José Luis Carlos discovered the six members—Gala, Iren, Sandra, Maria, Pao, and Sonia—while they were rehearsing to join Azúcar Moreno and Chayanne onstage, prompting the group to launch independently with support from local composers José Miguel Evora and Carmen Blanco Zambrano.
