Javier Lebandon first built his reputation under the stage name El Arrebato, earning both widespread praise and strong sales figures inside the rock andaluz genre. Born in Sevilla, he fused flamenco, rhumba, and pop elements into a sound that quickly attracted listeners across Spain. His first album, simply titled El Arrebato, arrived in 2001 and included the single “Poquito a Poco,” moving 70,000 units. During the following two years he performed more than fifty concerts throughout the country.

The 2003 follow-up, Una Noche con Arte, sought to translate the energy of those live shows onto record. Two years later his third effort, Que Salga el Sol por Donde Quiere, proved even more popular, achieving 350,000 copies sold and lingering on domestic charts for sixty consecutive weeks. Rather than pause, Lebandon issued the hits package Grandes Exitos before the end of 2005; it gathered earlier favorites such as “Delinquentes” and “Me Gusta lo que Soy,” added fresh tracks including “No Puedo Mas,” and presented his version of the Los Chunguitos song “Carmen.”

He continued releasing new material with Un Cuartito Pa Mis Cosas in 2006, Mundología in 2008, and Lo Que el Viento Me Dejó in 2010. Campamento Labandón appeared in 2012 and was followed by a nationwide tour the next year.
