Lola Indigo, a vocalist, performer, and movement director originating from Spain, launched her professional path exclusively through dance. The track “Ya No Quiero Ná” marked her recording debut in 2018 and accumulated more than 70 million streams. Her first full-length project, Akelarre, arrived in 2019 and featured guest appearances by Mala Rodriguez alongside Lalo Ebratt. The 2020 single “Santeria,” recorded with Danna Paola and Denise Rosenthal, reached the Top Ten. The follow-up album La Niña topped the charts in 2021 and contained the successful cuts “4 Besos,” which included Rauw Alejandro and Ebratt, plus “La Niña de la Escuela.” An expanded international version of the latter collection later surfaced under the title La Niña XXL.

Miriam Doblas Muñoz, born in Madrid in 1992, grew up in the modest Andalusian community of Huétor-Tajar within Granada province. Intensive dance instruction began well before her teenage years; once skilled, she instructed classes and performed in several stage musicals. Fourth place in the 2010 televised contest Fama Revolution led her to Los Angeles, where assignments as both dancer and choreographer followed. Back in Spain she supported Miguel Bosé, Enrique Iglesias, and Marta Sánchez in the same capacities before spending three years on a project in China.

An audition for the widely watched talent series Operación Triunfo 2017 took place in July of that year; although she finished 16th after the earliest elimination, the exposure generated sold-out concerts in Barcelona, Madrid, and Granada. Universal Music subsequently proposed forming the group Delta with three fellow contestants from the show, yet she attended only preliminary rehearsals before declining. Between March and December 2018 she nonetheless joined her fifteen fellow participants for a 23-date arena tour.

June brought the public unveiling of the stage name Lola Índigo during a collective performance alongside four additional established Spanish singer-dancers whose sets blended vocals and choreography across trap, reggaeton, and funk material. Later that month Universal granted her an individual contract, resulting in the July release of “Ya No Quiero Ná,” produced by Bruno Valverde in Segovia. The song’s infectious groove and feminist message propelled it to number three domestically and triple-platinum status. A remix featuring Joey Montana and Charly Black appeared almost immediately, and she added her voice to another remix of “Borracha” that same month alongside Yera, Juan Magan, and De la Ghetto. November inaugurated her first headline trek of 17 solo dates, while December’s “Mujer Bruja,” featuring Marta Sanchez, climbed to number six. Those results secured an album deal.

Early 2019 found her supplying the theme “Fuerte” for Fama a Bailar and serving as coach, as well as recording “El Humo” for the film Lo Dejo Cuando Quiera. Akelarre reached stores in May, collecting the three prior singles; it debuted at number one and remained on the chart more than six months. “Maldición,” the fourth single, incorporated Colombian rapper Lalo Ebratt, after which she completed 33 promotional concerts. June paired her with Aitana on “Me Quedo,” and late July introduced the non-album track “Lola Bunny” with boyfriend Don Patricio, peaking at number four. A Cupido remix of “Autoestima” arrived two months later, and December closed with the non-album single “Luna.”

Pandemic restrictions prevented live promotion of Akelarre, prompting instead the release of “4 Besos” with Rauw Alejandro and Charly Black; the cut attained number seven and double-platinum certification. She reciprocated Marta Sanchez’s earlier support by appearing on “Problemas” from the veteran’s sixth album. June brought “Mala Cara,” chosen as the closing theme for Operacion Triunfo 2020, while July’s collaboration “Trendy” with urbano artist Rvfv achieved viral traction and chart placement. August’s “Santeria,” uniting Mexican and Chilean vocalists Danna Paola and Denise Rosenthal, reached number 15 in Spain and Top 20 in Chile. September’s “High (Remix)” with María Becerra and Tini entered Argentina’s Hot 100, earned Billboard’s designation as Best Latin Summer Remix of 2020, and received a Premios Gardel nomination for Best Trap/Urban Song or Album.

Single output continued unabated through 2021 with “Calle,” featuring Puerto Rican rappers Guaynaa and Cauty, the solo “Spice Girls,” and a guest spot on Rosenthal’s “Demente.” July 2020’s “La Niña de la Escuela,” recorded via Zoom with Tini and Belinda, hit number three, charted across a dozen territories, and opened the second studio album La Niña, which debuted at number one upon release that same month. September yielded “Romeo y Julieta” with Rvfv, followed directly by the gold-certified “Cómo Te Va?” alongside Beret. Additional singles “Solteras” and “Toy Story” preceded an expanded edition of Akelarre. June introduced the electronic-dance-pop cut “An1mal,” September delivered “Discoteka” featuring Maria Becerra, and December presented the expanded La Niña XXL, appending three bonus tracks including “Spinelli” from the Amazon Original series La Niña.
