Born Juan Carlos Fernández, Argentine-Latin CCM singer/songwriter and producer Rabito had performed with the rock en español ensemble Los Hampones prior to his entry into the contemporary Christian music world. Spiritual lyrics marked his direction beginning in 1981 and surfaced on the debut album Pueblo de Dios. Creciendo Día A Día and Bajo La Luz De Dios appeared in quick succession afterward. Rabito established residence in the U.S. ahead of issuing the successful 1999 album Sinceridad together with the ten-track record Viva la Vida, which contained the hit single "Vivir Sin Ti."
