Reuben Hollebon, a British singer, songwriter, and producer, crafts literate indie folk material that maintains an atmospheric quality while harboring persistent undercurrents of tension. Born in Norfolk, he first grasped a guitar at age 18, after which music rapidly overtook his other pursuits. During his university enrollment in music and audio programs, he secured a studio-engineer position with British-Indian composer Nitin Sawhney, gaining experience across orchestral sessions and soundtrack assignments alike. In spare moments he tracked his own folk-rooted songs, shaping a singular style that echoed the sensibilities of Elliott Smith, the National, and Bon Iver. He maintained his role as producer for additional artists even as he gradually compiled material for a personal album. Following his signing to the American indie label Bright Antenna, Hollebon issued his debut full-length, Terminal Nostalgia, in 2016.
