Biography
Born on July 2, 1990, in Düsseldorf, Germany, singer Roman Lob rose to attention for representing his country at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. Early recognition arrived after he joined the 2007 cast of Deutschland Sucht den Superstar, yet a vocal cord infection required him to exit before completion. Securing victory at Unser Star für Baku in 2012 through his take on “Standing Still,” co-written by Jamie Cullum, earned him the Eurovision berth and an eighth-place result. The track then appeared as a single that climbed to number three on the German singles charts, while his debut album Changes arrived shortly afterward and reached number nine.
