Bedroom pop musician SEB fuses R&B textures, relaxed indie elements, and easygoing melodies throughout his work. Millions first noticed the vocalist and songwriter through the casual track “seaside_demo,” particularly after a mashup pairing it with Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar” spread widely online. Capitalizing on that surge, SEB issued the EP IT'S OKAY, WE'RE DREAMING in 2021. A follow-up project titled don't worry I'll be fine appeared twelve months afterward and featured two praised joint efforts with bedroom-pop artist Julius. Remaining active, SEB delivered his third EP, we were so beautiful, during 2023.

Frequent moves marked SEB’s childhood, yet he spent most of his early years in Chicago before heading to New York for higher education. While there he completed an internship at Electric Lady studios; afterward he shifted to Los Angeles to focus on original material. His first single, “Boys Don't Cry,” surfaced in 2020 and introduced a straightforward lo-fi production style alongside songwriting that crossed genre boundaries. Additional tracks followed that year, and the 2021 release of “seaside_demo” produced a sharp rise in visibility. The song itself accumulated tens of millions of streams, while the Harry Styles mashup extended its reach even further. SEB also put out “They Don't Like Me” and “Coney Island” in 2021, then gathered these and other recordings for the July 2021 EP IT'S OKAY, WE'RE DREAMING, on which he handled recording, engineering, vocals, and every instrument. In the ensuing year he continued issuing singles such as “SAVE ME” and “fuck it, i’m the man,” both of which appeared on the 2022 sequel EP IT'S OKAY, WE'RE DREAMING II: don't worry I'll be fine. Later in 2022 he collaborated with L.A. pop artist Julius on the dreamy, low-key “Mercy,” and early in 2023 they released a second track, the brisker “Come Down Soon.” SEB’s third EP, we were so beautiful, arrived in July of that year and centered on the song “loving u is harder.”
