Biography
SIDEPIECE, a dance duo, crafts audacious tech-house numbers infused with sexual energy. The project unites Dylan Ragland, known as Party Favor, and Ricky Mears, who records as NITTI—each already accomplished producers independently. Their partnership began in 2019, yielding an immediate major club success through their joint effort with Diplo titled "On My Mind." Subsequent sold-out tours and festival slots ensued, alongside further notable releases such as "Temptation" and "Acrobatic." Additional joint works have emerged with figures including Lee Foss and Disco Lines, culminating in the 2024 outing "Sex Sells."
Individually, Ragland has focused on trap and bass material, issuing tracks via Mad Decent and Bombsquad while partnering with Gucci Mane and Sean Kingston. Mears earned a Latin Grammy Award along with a Latin Billboard Music Award thanks to his contributions to Bad Bunny's x100pre. SIDEPIECE's launch in 2019 brought their first single, "Wanna See You." The Diplo-assisted "On My Mind" closed out that year, achieving club and radio prominence plus gold certifications across multiple nations. 2020 saw the arrival of "Fallin for You"—a reworking of John Summit's "Deep End" hit—and "Together," marking their initial FFRR output. The pair unveiled "Temptation" and "Acrobatic" during 2021. Releases in 2022 encompassed "Sextacy" plus the Lee Foss-linked "1, 2 Step (Supersonic)." Kicking off 2023, they delivered a sanctioned remix for Lil Wayne's "A Milli," with "What You Need" and "On My Way" (featuring Faouzia) coming next. In 2024, joint efforts arose with San Pacho on "Taka," Disco Lines via "Give It to Me Good," and Midian through "Who Created Love," in addition to "Sex Sells."
