Simona Molinari

Italian vocalist Simona Molinari entered the world in Naples during 1983. From childhood onward she pursued singing with a particular affinity for jazz, culminating in her graduation from the Conservatory of L'Aquila. After piano-bar engagements and live-theater appearances throughout 2008, Molinari secured first place at the Sanremo Lab competition and thereby earned a slot at the 2009 Sanremo Festival. Egocentrica served as her initial solo outing in 2009, while the following year brought Croce e Delizia, an album that paired her with Ornella Vanoni on several duets. Work on 2011's Tua initiated an ongoing partnership with American singer Peter Cincotti, who later contributed to her fourth album, Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde.
