Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, SomeKindaWonderful craft unpolished R&B laced with rock textures that revolve around the voice of lead singer Jordy Towers. After severing ties with Interscope Records, Towers abandoned Los Angeles for the Cleveland suburbs, a move that set the stage for the group’s creation. While employed at a neighborhood bar he connected with drummer Ben Schigel and guitarist Matt Gibson, giving rise to SomeKindaWonderful. Their 2014 single “Reverse” secured rotation on Los Angeles’ KROQ and advanced to the fifth position on the station’s most-played roster. The band’s self-titled debut followed that June.
