Spiritworld fuses metallic hardcore with a glittering rhinestone obsession, forging neck-jarring metal drawn from punk, outlaw country, and spaghetti Western traditions. Las Vegas vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Stu Folsom launched the project, which delivered a four-track demo in 2017 steeped in highway outlaw punk. The following year the band dropped its debut full-length, Pagan Rhythms, a nine-song blaze that merged Slayer’s rapid-fire momentum with Pantera’s locked-down, palm-muted assault. On the 2022 Century Media release Deathwestern—their first album for the label—Spiritworld pressed further into an end-times rendering of the American West.
