Biography
Staring Back channels its punk foundations into a denser, more emotionally charged sound that captures the band's inherent drive. Hailing from Goleta, California, the group—Ryan on guitar, Jeff on guitar, Matt on vocals, Vic on bass, and Nick on drums—inked a deal with Lobster Records at once, well before any of them reached legal drinking age. The EP Mean Streets of Goleta marked their introduction in 1999, after which the first full-length Many Will Play appeared in early 2000.
