Biography
Suffocate Faster arose in Cincinnati, Ohio during autumn 2001, taking cues from the blend of metal and straight-edge hardcore advanced by Hatebreed and Earth Crisis. Vocalist Chris Alsip, guitarist Chris Towning, bassist Josh Secrest, and drummer Joey Ray formed the initial lineup. The quartet issued its first album, Only Time Will Tell, three years afterward and soon joined Full Blown Chaos, Atreyu, Bleeding Through, and other acts on the road. 1981 Records then delivered the second album, Don't Kill the Messenger, in 2006.
