Singer/songwriter Taylor Grey brings an energetic stage presence to a style that blends introspective acoustic ballads with synth-infused pop anthems. Born and raised in Northern California, she discovered her passion for singing early on and studied classical opera along with musical theater throughout her childhood. By roughly age 12 she had started crafting original lyrics and went on to master both piano and guitar on her own. Her first compositions drew from the classic-rock approach of 1970s groups such as the Eagles before shifting toward the contemporary sensibilities of Ed Sheeran, Colbie Caillat, and Sara Bareilles. Following graduation from high school she entered Stanford University, dividing her schedule between psychology coursework and the development of her independent music career. Her introduction to recorded music arrived in 2016 via the EPs Mind of Mine I and II, both helmed by her former Tournament of Hearts colleagues Benjamin Taylor and Bryan Morton. Shortly afterward she was asked to open for singer Jacob Whitesides on the “Lovesick” tour and later served as support for the Summer Set’s “Made for You” dates. In 2017 she released her first full-length album, SPACE CASE, which featured production contributions from Josh Abraham (Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Shakira) and Dave Kuncio (Selena Gomez, Dierks Bentley, Alicia Keys) and contained the single “Never Woulda Letcha.”
