Biography
American singer/songwriter Terence Ryan fuses soul with indie rock through a rich voice and passionate delivery shaped by the work of Kanye West, Coldplay, Bon Iver, and Frank Ocean. He grew up in the working-class community of Pembroke, Massachusetts, where he taught himself to play piano, drums, guitar, banjo, and bass. While holding a warehouse job, the troubadour left the East Coast for Los Angeles in search of a music career. Penniless and without housing, he took up residence in his car and continued writing and recording at parking lots and campsites. Following the release of his Will Word & Hand EP, he moved back to New England in late 2016. Tracks captured during his time on the West Coast formed the bulk of his debut LP, Don't Panic, which he pieced together inside an old fisherman’s house along the Maine coast. The album included the singles “Mean It” and “To Live and Die in New England.”
