Tiffany Day, a Chinese-American singer, songwriter, and producer, first drew widespread attention when footage of her performing "Hallelujah" inside an Italian well accumulated several million views online. Born Tiffany Ruan in Toronto and raised in Wichita, Kansas, she later settled in Los Angeles, where her background as a classically trained pianist and violinist helped convert that initial exposure into a sustained recording career beginning in 2018. Her subsequent releases highlighted a striking vocal presence, lyrics that listeners found immediately familiar, and an ability to move fluidly across various electronic-tinged bedroom pop styles. Her first EP, The Recovery Project, arrived in 2021 and traced the sense of displacement she felt throughout her opening year of higher education. Three additional EPs—The Dependency Project, The Renewal Project, and The Gratitude Project—appeared in the years that followed, each one mapping onto a successive college term while exploring fresh obstacles and milestones through streaming standouts such as "If I Don't Text You First," "Clouds," and "San Francisco Sidewalk." In early 2024 she issued "Hella Boy Crazy," positioned as the opening track from her first full-length album still to come.
