Tigerwine

Originating from Colorado Springs, Colorado, the trio of Hayden Trobee, Steve Lictenwalter, and Sean McKnight first connected as teenagers while performing together in the post-hardcore outfit Eyes. Following a 2012 change in that group's roster, the three friends formed Tigerwine and selected the name on a whim ahead of their initial performance. Trobee handled guitar and vocals, McKnight took bass and vocals, and Lictenwalter played drums as they spent several years building an audience close to home. Their music blended propulsive post-hardcore drive with brooding grunge textures, eventually leading them onto national tours and a 2015 deal with Richmond, Virginia's Blood & Ink Records. The punk imprint promptly issued the band's first EP, Lull. In the two years after, Tigerwine maintained a steady touring schedule while preparing their debut album alongside producer Matt Goldman, whose credits include Underøath and Copeland. Blood & Ink released that full-length effort, Die with Your Tongue Out, in April 2017.
