Biography
Originating from Long Beach, California, Hearts Like Lions deliver Christian alternative rock distinguished by intense vocal passion, atmospheric guitar textures, and expansive, uplifting melodies. The group comprises Stephen Ramos on vocals and guitar, Michael Grasseschi on guitar, Luke Schoepf on bass, and Nick Sturz on drums. Formed in 2011, they quickly attracted notice through emotionally charged songs exploring identity, truth, and love. After joining the Christian rock label Tooth & Nail in 2014, the band issued their debut EP, These Hands, that December. The release earned widespread critical praise and helped Hearts Like Lions build a loyal following without delay. In the following years they toured alongside From Indian Lakes and Hotel Books, prompting rapid expansion of their audience. The quartet returned in 2017 with their first full-length album, If I Never Speak Again.
