Biography
Shane Ochsner, previously the frontman of Christian prog metal band Hands, launched Everything in Slow Motion in 2012. After Hands disbanded once they completed heavy touring behind Give Me Rest, Ochsner felt the group had reached the end of its inventive road. He unveiled the new project that fall through the Red EP on Christian hard rock label Facedown Records. Produced by Josh Barber, the recording featured Ochsner performing every instrument and vocal part while carrying forward the dark introspection and tough but ambitious style that defined Hands. Late the following year, Ochsner and Facedown issued Phoenix, the first full-length album from Everything in Slow Motion. The release earned favorable reviews and climbed to 31 on the Billboard Christian Albums charts.
