Biography
Formed during the mid-'80s in Chile, the hip hop and urban trio Tiro de Gracia began when friends Juan Sativo and Lengua Dura came together, later expanding to include singer Zaturno, keyboardist Patricio Loaiza, and multi-instrumentalist Camilo Cintolesi. Their first recordings appeared as the independent albums Arma Calibrada and Homosapiens. A well-received spot on a domestic television broadcast, paired with the issue of El Demo Final, led the act to EMI. Ser Humano was cut in 1997 and drew contributions from established Chilean artists such as Chancho en Piedra, los Tetas, Joe Vasconcellos, and Matahari's Ema Pinto. The single "El Juego Verdadero" soon climbed the charts. Recorded in the U.S., the follow-up album Decisión Final arrived in 1999. Zaturno exited the group in June 2000 to launch the new project Tapia Rabia Jackson.
