Biography
Identifying their moniker as a stereotypical hardcore cliché, the Louisiana four-piece Twelve Gauge Valentine consists of Jon Green handling vocals, Jonathon Cooper on bass, Josh White playing guitar, and Jonathan Webster behind the drums. Previously performing screamo music with another band name, the members shifted toward blending metal and hardcore elements. While Sound vs. Silence provided support for TGV, the group drew interest from Solid State, an imprint of Tooth & Nail, leading to the October 2006 release of Shock Value.
