Biography
Los Angeles alt-rock outfit Wildling surfaced toward the close of 2014, yet the group’s origins stretch back to 2004. Co-founders Ryan Levine on vocals and Andrew Ampaya on keyboards first shaped their bright, melodic, big-roomed indie rock under the moniker Test Your Reflex, issuing an RCA debut in 2007. Once that deal expired, the pair spent several years performing as No Country before resurfacing as Wildling alongside bassist Justin Levine—brother of singer Ryan Levine—guitarist Erik Janson, and drummer Casey Wojtalewicz. After cultivating a following in the L.A. clubs and securing prominent licensing placements, the band inked a deal with Warner Bros. in early 2017 and issued its Joe Chiccarelli-produced debut EP, Here, that September.
