Biography
Formed in New Jersey in 2012, Youth in Revolt took shape as a post-hardcore group defined by melodic and emotional intensity. Their approach fused nervy punk-pop with screamo, drawing comparisons to Asking Alexandria, Sleeping with Sirens, and Memphis May Fire. Soon after launch they delivered a first single in the form of a cover of Ke$ha's "Die Young." During 2014 the band put out the EP Love Is a Liar's Game and appeared on Fearless Records' Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6 compilation. A few additional singles emerged, though repeated personnel shifts triggered an extended lull. That quiet period closed in 2016 when the group unveiled a new lineup consisting of Alex Ramos, Kenny Torres, Tanner Allen, Christian Coletti, and Arvin Sarathy along with an upcoming full-length album. The finished record, Broken, arrived on Cooking Vinyl in 2017.
