Biography
In March 2013 the five-piece alternative post-hardcore outfit Alive Like Me came together. Hailing from the college town of Eugene, Oregon, the lineup features vocalist Jairus Kersey alongside guitarists Brandon Banton and Dakota Dufloth, bassist David Knox, and drummer Joel Riley. Momentum built quickly after they issued their opening single, "Someone Else," just months after forming. Growing notice soon drew the attention of the Oregon indie label Rise Records, which signed the band in early 2014. Several dates on that summer’s Vans Warped Tour preceded the October 2014 arrival of their debut album, Only Forever.
