Biography
A pop-R&B vocalist and tunesmith drawing from Aaliyah as well as outspoken present-day counterparts such as SZA and Summer Walker, Almondmilkhunni issued her opening single in 2019 and, inside twelve months, secured a recording agreement before delivering the self-titled debut EP.
Philadelphia-born Brandy Schwechler sang from childhood and entered her church choir at thirteen. She refined her abilities by matching tones to Aaliyah recordings. While pursuing political science at Rutgers University she decided to concentrate on music instead. In 2019 she launched her performing alias with the independent single “Grapefruit.” “Henni Heartbreak” surfaced the next Valentine’s Day, after she had already signed with Electric Feel Records. A follow-up single, “Cherry,” preceded the April 2020 arrival of the Almondmilkhunni EP, which gathered the prior releases alongside newer songs. Three months afterward she returned with the single “Damnboy.”
